Quebec businessman and pastor Daniel Langlois and his wife, Dominique Marchand, were found dead on the Caribbean island of Dominica.

Daniel Langlois received many honors during his life, including being named a Knight of the National Order of Quebec in 1999. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded him a Scientific and Technical Academy Award in 1997.

Also in the same year, the Daniel Langlois Foundation was created. The private, charitable and non-profit organization aims to “contribute to the advancement of knowledge in art and science by promoting their encounters in technology”, as we can read on its website.
