ONLINE ORDER: After months of waiting, she received a ridiculous dress

A fashion blogger who bought a gold off-the-shoulder evening dress from online retailer Cherley was surprised to receive a yellow dress that people were quick to criticize.

Anita Mwirocki said she ordered the metallic petal dress on September 10 and received it on November 30. Last week, she showed off the outfit to her 172,000 TikTok followers in a 54-second video that quickly went viral, with more than 650,000 views.

“At first I was like, ‘Just set the mode and let off steam. You’ll be fine. No girl. You’re being robbed,'” one user commented.

Another commented, laughing: “Cinderella when the clock struck midnight… haha.”

In a series of TikToks, Mwiruki explained how she arrived at this disappointment.

“I saw this dress and it said ‘pre-order.’ In my mind, when I hear and see ‘pre-order,’ I tell myself they will take the time to make this product. I wait. Good things come to those who wait,” she explains.

“A month later, I sent an email saying, ‘Hey, what’s going on?'” “And that’s what they sent me,” Mwirocki continues, explaining an October 2 email from Shirley’s support team stating that the company appreciated their patience and that it could take up to 2 months to prepare the dress. 3 additional weeks.

“And I thought: ‘Wow, they’re really there, working hard, tirelessly, to make this dress a work of art.’ It turns out I don’t know what they’ve been doing for the past two months… I don’t know. “I have a lot of questions,” Mwiroki concluded.
