The Simone-Veil space has officially opened in Lavardac

It is a major project undertaken by Ludovic Biasotto and his municipal team which has now begun work. The Simone Veil space, which combines a social life space and a circus school, was inaugurated on April 25 in the presence of Senator Michel Masset, Deputy Prefect of Marmande-Nérac Michel Goriot, CAF President Béatrice Lafitte and Albret Communauté President Alain Lorenzelli. Lavardac's social life space was conceived as a place for gathering, discussion and sharing. This space, coordinated by Sabrina Ostroy, aims to strengthen connections and cohesion between residents to promote better living together. A range of workshops will liven up local life: creative workshops, drawing, yoga, sewing, board games, handicrafts, doctors' advice… Workshops for everyone, children, young people, parents, grandparents, alone or with the family, there is no There is a class, everyone is welcome at EVS.

Four powerful EVS axes

Sabrina has already created publicly available entertainment around four themes. Bla Bla Cafés are places for discussion and exchange to suggest actions. Dedicated parenting and family time with presentations, workshops, discussions or conferences. Youth work camps for teenagers will be developed in order to give them their first professional experience. Finally, shared gardens will emerge, spaces to chat, plant, harvest and enjoy together.

The Red Cross will have a temporary Respite for Alzheimer's Disease (HRDA) station in the Social Living Space buildings. The goal is to care for patients with Alzheimer's disease for a few hours in order to give caregivers time off to care for themselves.

New website for Un air de Cirque

In 2018, Romain Labadie and Colin Lindorme created the association “Un Air de cirque” with the aim of promoting and teaching circus arts in Lavardac. Six years later, the school attracts dozens of students of all ages. Weekly lessons or courses during the school holidays, the pair teach a variety of disciplines, from pétanque to juggling, including wire, acrobatics and lifts. A recreational activity practiced as a form of artistic and physical discipline. The circus feel now benefits from the fitted room in Simone Veil's space.
