V8 engine with over 500 horsepower for Dark Horse

After being introduced online, the seventh generation of Ford Mustang It made its first public appearance at the Detroit Show last September. To please its customers before Christmas, the American brand has just provided more information about the new Pony Car, including some technical characteristics.

The top of the range will be animated by the Dark Horse variant. With its more assertive style and sportier body kit, this diabolical version of the Ford Mustang houses the same atmospheric Coyote 5.0 V8 as the GT version. But this one has been re-calibrated by the Ford Performance teams, including a new camshaft, new pistons and forged connecting rods. The items aren’t really new as they were already introduced in the last GT500.

The result, Dark Horse presents 507 hp and 566 Nm of torque. The motor speed can reach 7500 rpm. In this version, Ford only offers a 10-speed automatic transmission. A manual gearbox has not been reported.
