A mum is distraught when she finds $2.7 million in her lottery account despite not knowing she won a big jackpot.
The 36-year-old Michigan resident initially thought it was a mistake.
But when I checked her numbers, there was a match.
Rachel Frey often plays the lottery with the hope of winning, but like most people, the odds have never tipped in her favor, at least to this extent.
“I play Mega Millions online a lot. When I woke up the day after the draw, I checked my lottery account on my phone. When I saw that I had an outstanding balance of $2 million, I thought this was not normal,” she explained to Mirror.
“I closed my app and checked my email. When I saw the email from the lottery saying I had won a prize and needed to verify my account, I knew it was true!” “.
The ticket was purchased online from the state lottery website and Ms. Frey was able to claim her prize the next day at the Michigan Lottery headquarters.
She intends to use the money to pay off her student loans and establish funds for her young children’s college, as well as to increase her savings.
“Winning this award is amazing and gives my family some financial relief,” she said.
