Australia: 6 French teaching institutes approved for 2022-2023

As per order dated June 21, 2022The list of accredited French schools and educational institutions worldwide for 2022-2023 is now official. It includes six companies in Australia.

It should be noted that approval is given to French programs offered in accordance with the values ​​and requirements of the French education system. These programs welcome both French and foreign students. The following list is not ranked:

1 – Condorcet High School, International French School Sydney in Sydney

Founded on February 22, 1989, Lycée Condorcet, a French school in Sydney, is a mixed, private institution accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and a member of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE). It welcomes nearly 1100 students from junior division to terminal, including more than 50 different nationalities. Only high school classes are allowed.

Condorcet High School in Sydney

Established in 2014, it is the only school in Australia to offer a Franco-Australian bilateral program. The institution welcomes local and international students from countries around the world such as China, Vietnam, USA, Mexico, Malaysia, France, Korea, Germany and India.

Admission for 5th, 4th and 3rd class only. The students concerned are taught half of the subjects in French (Mathematics, History-Geography, Economics, Science, French) and the other half in English (Technology, Art, Health, Physical Education).

Established in 1998, Melbourne’s French School offers education from Grande Division to 6ème. 30 nationalities are represented among the students. The originality of the institution lies in the concept of pairs: two native teachers, one French-speaking and the other English-speaking, are in charge of a class.

The Franco-Australian High School is a bilingual public founding partner of AEFE, following an agreement between the French and Australian governments in 1983 that the school is a bilateral school. In 2021, the institution has more than 1,560 students from over 65 countries. About 12% of students come from France or French-speaking countries. Established in 1969, the Franco-Australian Nursery School of Red Hill is a private institution recognized by the French National Ministry of Education and an affiliate of AEFE. It is completely self-financing and receives no subsidy.

The school offers a progressive immersion program, a fusion of the French curriculum and the Australian Early Learning Framework. Only Petite and Moyenne category classes are recognized.
