The Honorable Robert Oliphant, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will visit Lugano, Switzerland and London, United Kingdom from 4th to 6th July 2022, the Honorable Melanie Jolie announced today.
In Lugano, Parliamentary Secretary Oliphant will participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, underlining Canada’s strong commitment to help rebuild a stronger, more resilient and prosperous Ukraine in the face of the Russian regime’s unjustified and illegal occupation of Ukraine.
While in London, Parliamentary Secretary Oliphant will represent Canada at the International Ministerial Conference on Religion or Belief (FoRB). This international gathering will bring together governments, parliamentarians and representatives of religions and faiths and civil society to call for global action on freedom of religion or belief for all. Discussions will focus on measures and good practices to protect and promote LoF, with a focus on democracy, youth and the digital domain.
