The Phantom of the Opera leaves Broadway

Musical comedy The Phantom of the Operathe longest running show on Broadway, will be presented for the last time this weekend, after 35 years.


Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical has been performing since 1988 in New York. After closing theaters due to the pandemic, The Phantom of the Opera Returns to Broadway in October 2021.

The exhibition will see the curtain fall for the last time on April 16th. The magazine quoted producer Cameron Mackintosh as saying that this ending was expected diverse, while the number of profitable weeks is getting smaller and smaller in recent years.
