Star Academy’s Jeremy Blunt underwent major surgery

Jeremy Blunt arrived last Monday on crutches to attend Jay Kutcher’s EP launch party at the Théâtre Plaza.

The singer injured his right leg last June during the Lotbiniere Country Festival. “My knee was completely out of its socket. I tore my ACL and crushed my meniscus. All summer I was doing my rounds with a splint. I was careful. Jeremy, who was jumping all over the place, was much more relaxed.” He finally had surgery two weeks ago.

“The anterior cruciate ligament in my right leg was repaired. Everything went well. I am able to stand. The crutches keep me from feeling too tired. I am back on track and preparing for upcoming shows. I will be starting again next weekend with Les Mecs, a band My cover, and I will resume performing with the Blue Ridge Band in the spring. Currently, we are writing songs. There will be many collaborations, including a collaboration with Justin Legacy.
