American media reported, on Thursday, that media mogul Rupert Murdoch announced his engagement for the sixth time at the age of 92.
The Australian billionaire with American citizenship will marry Elena Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist of Russian origin, who is 25 years his junior.
She is 67 years old and is also the mother of Daria Zhukova, a philanthropist, art collector, and ex-wife of Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
According to the New York Times, the couple began dating last summer and plan to marry in June at the billionaire's California home.
Rupert Murdoch, a father of six, was first married from 1956 to 1967 to Patricia Booker, an Australian flight attendant, and then for more than 30 years to British journalist Anna Torv.
He then married Chinese-born businesswoman and Yale University graduate Wendy Ding, until their divorce in New York in 2013.
After his divorce from model Jerry Hall in the summer of 2022, the billionaire announced his engagement for the fifth time to Anne Leslie Smith in the spring of 2023. They separated less than a month later.
In November 2023, the businessman left the presidency of Fox, the parent company of the Fox News channel favored by American conservatives, and News Corp, and decided to hand over power to his son Lachlan.
