Prince William and his eldest son George were seen in the stands of the Aston Villa-Lille match in Birmingham on Thursday evening, their first public appearance since Princess Kate was announced to have cancer at the end of March.

Relieved and smiling, the heir to the British crown, an ardent supporter of the club, brought his 10-year-old son to Villa Park, wearing a scarf in the colors of the team that won the quarter-final match 2-1 – first leg of the Europa League final.
Princess Kate, the very popular wife of the Crown Prince, revealed at the end of last March in a video clip that she had cancer, without specifying its nature, and she began chemotherapy, describing it as a “huge shock.”

At the end of March, the couple and their children did not participate in the traditional religious Easter Mass at St. George's Church in west London, which was held a week after this announcement.
According to the British PA agency, the Prince of Wales is supposed to resume his public activities after the Easter holiday and the start of the school year for the couple’s children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Buckingham Palace also announced in early February that the king was suffering from cancer, which was discovered during prostate surgery a few days earlier. He also undergoes treatment and continues to perform some official tasks or keep appointments in small groups.
