Challenger 3500 | He was ordered to terminate the year from Bombardier

Bombardier is increasing its order book before the end of the year by selling 12 examples of the Challenger 3500, a private jet assembled at its Montreal facility.

It was announced on Friday that the contract is valued at 326 million US dollars (436 million Canadian dollars), according to the prices offered. Customers can usually get discounts when purchasing multiple devices. The identity of the buyer was not revealed.

“This order clearly demonstrates that this platform (the Challenger 3500) delivers the exceptional experience customers are looking for,” Eric Martel, Bombardier’s president and CEO, said in a press release.

In the third quarter ended September 30, the Quebec aircraft manufacturer recorded a ratio of new contracts to deliveries of 1.1. This means that the company delivers almost as many devices as it receives orders.

The value of its order book was estimated at US$14.7 billion.

On the Toronto Stock Exchange on Friday, Bombardier Class B shares closed at $52.23, up 16 cents, or 0.3%. Since the beginning of the year, the stock has declined by 1.15%.
