A German Shepherd cross that went missing in California for a year has been found 2,500km from its home in Kansas.
A dog that had been wandering alone in the United States for more than a year was found by its owners. Zeppelin, a three-year-old German Shepherd mix, went missing from his family’s home in Sacramento, California in October 2021, his owner Sandra O’Neill told Channel USA. NPR.
The family suspected that he had befriended construction workers working near his house, and one of them decided to keep him. “I don’t have proof, but I thought someone fell into his trance and took him home,” the American said.
But 14 months later, when she least expected it, a woman from Lewisburg, Kansas (2500 km from her home) announced to Sonia O’Neill that she had found a Zeppelin in her garden. He took the animals to the vet, who was able to locate the happy owners by chipping the dog.
Sonia O’Neill told the channel, “I’m shocked and shocked to say that.
Since then, Zeppelin has become a minor local celebrity, and a press conference is planned for his return to California, where he will be returned by car. In Sacramento, the litter of puppies she gave birth to shortly before her disappearance could be found. Two of them were kept by his family.
