A disturbed and anxious mother: For the fourth time in 4 months, a stranger comes to her house to watch her nine-year-old daughter sleep.

A man was arrested in Pennsylvania for breaking into a family home four times over the past four months exclusively to watch a nine-year-old girl sleep, US channel WPVI reported.

The girl's mother, Tiffany Zapara, said she was particularly concerned when she saw this stranger enter her house in the middle of the night, head upstairs, then enter her daughter's bedroom and watch her while she was sleeping.

The individual's last disturbing visit occurred on Christmas Eve. The man was filmed on a surveillance camera that Ms. Zabarra installed in the kitchen.

Three days later, Coatesville authorities announced that the suspect, Jefferson Mejia Gonzalez, had surrendered to police after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was specifically charged with burglary, break-in and harassment.

According to Tiffany Zapara, the person first entered the home in September, taking advantage of the fact that the back door lock was not working properly.

The next two times, the door was accidentally left open. As for the man's last “visit,” it was clear that it came through the window.

Every time he entered the house, he climbed the stairs and went straight to the little girl's room.

“One time there was money on the table and he didn't touch it. He just went into my daughter's room,” Ms. Zabarra says.

The latter also added new locks to its doors, in addition to installing several surveillance cameras.

“If this man is determined to come see my daughter, what else does he want to do?” The mother is worried.

She also indicated that one time, the man invited the little girl to follow him, but she refused and he did not force her to accompany him.

“Then my nine-year-old daughter said to him: 'Don't flatter my dog. Get out of my house.'” She didn't scream. “Instead, I followed him down the stairs to make sure he left,” Tiffany Zapara says.
