Visa flew thirty-two Moroccan Visa cardholders to Australia for a unique experience and to attend Morocco’s first match in Melbourne.
Lucky fans will get the chance to cheer on the Lions of Morocco on July 24 when they take on a fearsome side from Germany. In addition to VIP tickets to the tournament, Visa cardholders who won the tournament packages received round-trip airfare for two, 6 nights at a 5-star hotel, transportation to all tournaments, a $300 Visa Prepaid Card, $200 worth of local prizes, attendance at Visa events in Australia, and access to medical assistance and a Visa support team for accommodations.
As a sponsor, Visa led an extensive marketing campaign aimed at generating excitement among local audiences and the public, reflecting Visa’s commitment to empowering communities and creating memorable experiences that transcend geographic boundaries. In addition, Team Morocco’s Ghislane Sepbak and Fatima Dagnaud are part of this year’s Team Visa program, which aims to help athletes grow personally and professionally through financial support and philanthropic activities, financial literacy tools, and mental health and wellness resources.
While the focus is on celebrating the Moroccan women’s national team’s world tour, Visa emphasizes that its commitment to supporting women-led businesses adds a deeper dimension to the campaign. Throughout the tournament, Visa will also ensure the Player of the Match Award to support Women-Owned Small Businesses (WSMB) with a total of $500,000 in grants across 64 tournaments and 32 qualifying countries.
