Sam Smith breaks down in tears in the middle of a concert in Montreal

Stunned by the crowd’s applause, Sam Smith burst into tears during his concert at the Bell Center on Saturday night.

While passing through the city as part of his “Gloria” tour, the British singer gave a full concert to the audience in attendance, starting with his greatest hits, including “Stay With Me,” “Like I Can,” or “Unholy.”

As he had just sung “Like I Can”, Sam Smith received a standing ovation from the audience.

“Oh my God! I really tried not to cry, Oh my God! Thank you so much, thank you so much, wow. You are amazing now! I have to tell you, I love you too!”

This is not the first time that famous artists have greeted the unique character of the crowd in Montreal.

In the comments section of the video posted by user mikechaar on TikTok, netizens pointed out the human nature of the artist.

“I cried with him. It was a precious moment! We always show our love for Montreal,” one woman shared.

“What a lovely evening!!! “We had so much fun and he put on a great show,” says another user.
