Radeon RX 7600M XT beats GeForce RTX 4060 laptop in 3DMark

AMD’s RDNA 3 graphics card performed well in 3DMark Fire Strike and Time Spy, coming in between the Radeon RX 6700M and Radeon RX 6800M and outperforming NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 laptop.

At the beginning of the year, AMD released its first RDNA 3 graphics cards: the Radeon RX 7600M, available in XT, “only” M and S, as well as the Radeon RX 7000S. At the moment, as far as we know, no laptop manufacturer has released a Radeon RX 7600M XT-equipped model in Europe or the United States. In China, it seems that the first PC equipped with this reference is about to be released. A promotional video presents some of the 3DMark results.

This is the first glimpse of the Radeon RX 7600M XT’s performance, but it’s not the first glimpse of the RX 6800S-compatible RDNA 3 card. On paper, the Radeon RX 7600M XT is the most underrated GPU.

Mobile GeForce and Radeon results

In 3DMark TimeSpy (DX12 1440p), the RX 7600M XT scores a total graphics score of 10,451. In 3DMark FireStrike (DX11 1080p), the AMD graphics card scored 30,398 points. In the first criterion, it is on par with the mobile GeForce RTX 4060, but is clearly ahead of its competitor in the second, and even the laptop GeForce RTX 4070. In general, the Radeon RX 7600M XT is located between the Radeon RX 6700M and Radeon RX 6800M – a little closer to the former . Note that these are averages for all other graphics cards.

In short, you can see that in this range the competition promises to be tight. Finally, as always with the performance of mobile CPUs and GPUs, remember that it varies greatly from computer to computer depending on the TDP assigned to the components and the cooling system of the machine.
