Meal boxes provided to low-income students

The Dietitian and Assistant Director of Student and Community Life will provide meal boxes to students who need nutritional assistance throughout the session.

The idea was suggested by a professor in the Department of Nutrition. » As part of the course, students are required to cook several recipes in order to become familiar with food service management activities. This collaborative project makes it possible to avoid food surpluses, give back to the student community while providing students with a real educational situation,” explains program coordinator, Karen Gelinas.

Meals will be cooked by students for students. This is a circular economy project that thus reduces the environmental footprint while contributing to the well-being of the student community in Cégep de Trois-Rivières.
