Mary May faces the challenge of humor

Marie-Mae describes herself as a girl with challenges, so when she was called upon to host a comedy party at ComediHa! Fest-Québec, next summer, turning down was not an option.

“The more I am doing animators, the more I love to try different things,” kicks off her legendary enthusiasm that finds herself in the 2022 group of animators from ComediHa! Along with Michelle Cortmanche, Anthony Kavanagh, Michele Sharett, Laurent Paquin, Anne Elizabeth Boss and Guillaume Pinault.

It was director Jean-Francois Bliss who thought of Marie May to host a party.

“She will be faithful to who I am,” asserts the person who wants to “impress.”

“I want people to get to know me, but I also want to go places where people don’t expect me. I want to be self-deprecating, and not take myself too seriously. The only reason I say yes to a program like this is to feel excited.”

The identity of its guests will be announced later. For musical artists, Mary May says she has suggested people whose attendance would be her “raison d’être”. In the joke, she says that she trusts the team to find the right guests.

She doesn’t forget the music

Despite appearances, his animation projects do not prevent him from composing music. She is even planning to celebrate 20 years of her career in 2023. An album is in the works. She says she already has twenty songs in the bank.
