Stephen Despians and Chandel Dufresne never thought they would be so successful in business by getting a cold varnishing process for cars called Resto-Glad. This success can be seen in about forty owners in Quebec, the United States and Europe.
Partners in their personal lives and business, the couple were together for just six months when they decided to embark on the Wrestler-Claude adventure. “We came out with a basic $ 6,000 and we didn’t even know how long we were going to be together,” Chandel Dufresne jokes.
Stephen Despiens contacted a person from Vancouver who developed this product. Surprised by its effectiveness it came to get distribution rights.
“We call it a cold warning process,” he explains. This eliminates the need to apply Composition. It blends in with the automobile polish in an instant, and it offers a bright finish, just like when you invent a new vehicle. “
On the other hand, there is a specific method by which this product can be effective, which requires special training. The work is done quickly and the product is applied by hand, which avoids losses.
“The first vehicle I tried on, it took me 18 hours to get the result I wanted. Today, with experience, the same job takes me an hour,” says Despians.
In expansion mode
Despite having no experience as entrepreneurs, Stephen Despians and Chandel Dufresne succeeded in creating the restaurant-clot thanks to their diligence.
“We learned at work and initially we knew nothing about raising owners,” says the former foreman of the Society de Transport de Longwell. We made a mistake, we had a hard time, but it was worth it. “
Entrepreneur Kia was able to rely on the help of dealer Steve Charland, “one of the first to trust our product”, as well as the support of SADC to Surod-Sud.
With solid strength, numerous trips, demonstrations and especially the use of the Facebook network, the pair formed a network of owners in Quebec (18) and Europe, now with retailers in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Coming soon to Morocco. Steps are also being taken in Finland, Italy and Algeria.
“We were able to double our year-on-year revenue except last year due to COVID, but our expansion in France has allowed us to maintain ourselves,” says Chandel, who is in charge of the company’s management aspect.
Despite this success, the pair teamed up with Saliberi-de-Wallyfield, where they had a workshop on Semin Larok. “It’s central to us and it’s as easy to get to Ontario or the states as possible.”
