(London) Five days before taking their grandfather’s coffin together, Princes William and Harry pay tribute to Prince Philip and his life on Monday dedicated to the crown and queen.
After Prince Philip’s children’s speeches over the weekend, the two different brothers publicly saluted the memory of their grandfather, who died “quietly” on Friday at Windsor Castle in west London at the age of 99.
“The century of my grandfather’s life was defined by his service to his country and to the Commonwealth, his wife and Queen, and our family,” said Prince William, the eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
“My grandfather was an extraordinary man and part of an extraordinary generation,” William continued. “Next to the throne, he and his wife Catherine will continue to do what he wants: to support the Queen over the years.”
In the process, Prince Harry was greeted with a “sense of duty, respect and a strong sense of humor.” The Duke of Sussex, who returned to the United Kingdom for the first time since leaving the monarchy, according to British media, paid homage to his grandfather, “Queen of Devotion Equivalent to His Majesty”.
