Negligible error in the application DoorDash A family was allowed to get 200 chicken nuggets from McDonald's, even though they initially only wanted 20 nuggets.

The story quickly spread on social media. In just four days, the video has garnered nearly 10 million views on TikTok.

“Where did the food we actually order go?” Jessica, the video's creator, joked, while her family burst into laughter as they opened the multiple boxes of food.

The second clip was necessary to reveal the rest of the giant system.

In fact, the majority of the purchases were supposed to be hamburgers, she noted in a second video where she took time to explain the incident dating back to 2017.

Unintentionally

Jessica and her family, originally from Buffalo, New York, but living in Long Beach, California at the time, invited the in-laws to visit their grandson.

On this occasion, they decided to hand it over. Her husband, Chris, was in charge of using the DoorDash app to order some burgers and croquettes.

Thinking he was adding each McCroquette individually to the app, Chris inadvertently ordered 20 boxes of 10 chicken nuggets for the set — for a total of 200.

According to Jessica, Chris did not care about these details at all at that moment. “I think he said, 'Oh my God, it's expensive,' but I thought, 'Well, who knows?'

They were unaware of the problem, even when the delivery person contacted them about the long wait, explaining that the order had to be prepared specifically for them.

“We were like, ‘This is great. Fresh food!” she recalls.

She said the DoorDash driver was “shocked” to see so few people bringing piles of food and sauces. “I was like, 'Is this a joke?'” Jessica says.

Eventually, the gang went to deliver the surplus microkits, while they were still warm, in a nearby area where homeless people lived.

“They were very happy,” she said in the video, smiling. “It was really great.”
