Seth Rollins opened WWE RAW on January 22, 2024 to evaluate his future.
In fact, we learned last week that Seth Rollins suffered a knee injury following his match against Jinder Mahal for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. More specifically, a tear of the medial collateral ligament as well as a partial tear of the meniscus.
It was impossible to know exactly what the future held for Seth Rollins. Losing the championship? Will you miss WrestleMania 40? Or can just a few weeks of rest help him come back?
Seth finally spoke at the opening of Raw on January 22 and announced that he was indeed injured, confirming two ligament injuries. Rollins said doctors are talking about a three- to four-month recovery and surgery, but if it were up to him, he would be back the next week to continue doing Stomp exercises. Rollins found himself interrupted by Gunter during his announcement, but Rollins quickly stopped him, saying he wasn't finished yet.
Rollins added that despite the doctor's announcement, the matter is not important to him. He also doesn't care how hard he works during his recovery. He will push his knee to the limit and bring this title with him to WrestleMania ! He will do everything in his power to emerge from WrestleMania as the World Heavyweight Champion!
The statement confirms that Seth Rollins will not miss WrestleMania 40 and will need to take some time off between now and WrestleMania in order to have his big match at the biggest show of the year.
We'll have to wait for upcoming updates to find out specifically whether or not Seth Rollins will have to stay out of the ring until WrestleMania.
