Wisconsin man eats 33,000 Big Macs in 50 years

On May 17, Donald Gorske celebrated his golden wedding anniversary with what he described as “the best sandwich in the world”.

He says his honeymoon with the popular fast food chain’s sandwich began when he bought his first car on May 17, 1972.

“I drove straight to McDonald’s, had my first three Big Macs, then got in my car and ate them,” he explains. At that point, I was like, ‘I’m probably going to eat this for the rest of my life.

Two Big Macs a day

The American eats a burger – without the fries – almost every day. In this way, in 1999 he managed to take the Guinness record for the largest Big Mac.

“I love burgers more than any other food,” the 68-year-old told the organizers of the Guinness Book of Records in 2021, when he had just broken his own record and crossed the 30,000 burger threshold.
