Windows 11 build 22610 comes with new bugs, review

Windows 11 build 25126 available (23H2), what’s new?

Over the past few hours, a new preview of Windows 11 has been made available by the Windows Insider Program, version 25126. It targets PCs registered on the DEV channel.

This is an important change because the DEV and BETA channels were separated again after hosting the same preview multiple times.

Windows 11 build 25126 is available for download only through the DEV channel. This is a new branch of development that will eventually spawn the second Windows 11 feature update. It is expected to arrive in 2023.

Windows 11 build 15126, what’s new

For now, this is the first step with a bit of freshness. Most of the work is about correcting problems. However, we find a new account settings page with information about current Microsoft services.

On the issue of bugs, we have important fixes, especially with regard to crashes observed when installing preview builds of Windows 11. Microsoft explains

We have fixed an issue causing a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error in pci.sys during error checking. The situation, in turn, caused me to undo my attempt to install the latest versions from the developer channel. We have mitigated an issue that caused the Program Compatibility Assistant service to use an unexpected amount of CPU resources for some Insiders after upgrading to the latest Dev Channel Insider Preview builds.

Microsoft has also released fixes to Task Manager. One of them addresses an issue that causes it to crash if Explorer.exe stops responding.

And add release note

we solved

  • An issue where context menus do not follow the same mode (light or dark) as the task manager itself
  • Misspelling of “reduce usage” tip.
  • If you hide the graphs on the side of the performance page, the color of the circles used instead should now match the graph in the summary view.
  • We fixed an issue where some apps weren’t showing up on the Operations page.
