Microsoft has been offering a new cumulative update for Windows 11, KB5014668, for a few hours. Optional, available through the Windows Update service. Downloading and installing it requires manual intervention.
We’re in the process of previewing allowing some improvements to be tested in advance which will be suggested during next patch Tuesday. Therefore, cumulative update KB5014668 for Windows 11 is optional. Download and install is not automatic.
One innovation is the introduction of the “highlights” function in the search module. We also have some important fixes.
Windows 11 and KB5014668, many bug fixes
For example, the update fixes an issue that prevents upgrading to Windows 11. This is a huge bug that Microsoft needs to fix quickly. It’s been done. The error is related to the timing of certain operations in the operating system and not the eligibility of the device.
Playing videos in some games should not be a problem anymore, as is the crash of some games that use certain audio technologies (sound effects). Microsoft calls for a bug fix that affects Bluetooth technology. Some audio devices after restarting devices fail to reconnect.
Finally, we have a solution to a bug affecting the functionality of a Wi-Fi access point.
