At the age of 41, the immortal Australian, Matt Guido, has signed with San Diego in the United States. The former Toulon player will, this time, be playing the last season of his career.
Matt Giteau extended his happiness again and signed a new contract with an American club. After Los Angeles, where he played between 2021 and 2022, it is San Diego, another city in California, that will welcome the Australian with 103 caps. After his brilliant time at Toulon, he was the main architect of the historic Champions Cup treble. Between 2013 and 2015 and a Top 14 title in 2014, Matt Giteau has had quite the journey.

The Wallaby first settled in Japan with Tokyo side Sungoliath, where he played three seasons. He then flew to the West Coast of the United States with the Los Angeles Gildinis. Apparently, he wanted the American life because he was going to settle a few kilometers south in San Diego.
This time, it was supposed to be the last experience of his rugby career, which he promised his wife on X (formerly Twitter). He said: “This is definitely, definitely my last season… my wife made me a promise.” Words written with humor typical of Australian legends.
