Kent Hughes has not been the Montreal Canadiens general manager for a year, but he is already considered to have left his mark on this team he considers his own.
“It’s my team now,” he admitted Wednesday during an interview with GC. There will always be players who haven’t necessarily come into the team because of me, like Kaiden Guhle who was drafted before, but there are changes that have to be made every year, so I can already say it’s going to be my team, win or lose.”
Furthermore, Hughes’ first drafted player was the first choice in the latest NHL amateur auction: Juraj Slafkovsky. And the season starts with the big club.
