Johan Despain leaves animation for the grocery store

After Denis Gagné, it was Johane Despins' turn to step out as host Grocery store.

Almost two years to the day after her former colleague announced her departure on February 15, 2022, the host, in turn, announced her departure on Monday, February 12.

After 16 years at the helm of the show, Johan Despens will leave at the end of this season, which she co-hosts Myriam FahmiouWhich will end on June 30.

She stated through a press release issued by Radio-Canada her desire to renew.

“I leave an extraordinary show and an extraordinary team with great gratitude. After 16 years, I want to throw myself into the void, to feel dizzy! But I am proud to have contributed to the success of this show, which is still relevant after 22 years and which will remain relevant for a long time, I am convinced. Thank you For Radio-Canada because it has allowed me, for thirty years, to develop in radio as well as in television, with a lot of confidence and freedom.

Radio-Canada also indicates that the person who will succeed him will be revealed later, who will now participate in presenting the program alongside Myriam Fahmiou.
