He was 7 and 8 years old at the time, and his children lived in shared custody, every two weeks with him. “For their protection, I did not talk to them about it,” he said.

“They saw the TV with me leaving the courtroom, and they said, ‘Eric Lapointe is still in court.’ They turned completely white.
