Disney officially announces the cast of ‘Hoxbox 2’

After a long period of waiting and speculation, Disney has finally released production of “Hocus Pocus 2,” the sequel to the popular 1993 Halloween classic in which Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimi will re-enact their iconic Sanderson roles. sisters.

After high expectations regarding the rest of the film’s cast, Disney has taken advantage of Halloween festivities to finally present the roster of talent that will complete this magic-adventure saga, which is supposed to release in 2022.

“Hocus Pocus 2” will feature Whitney Beck, Lilia Buckingham, Bellissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Tony Hill, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Jojo Brenner, Froy Guiters, Taylor Henderson and Nina Kitchen. So far, it has not been decided what roles each of these actors will play in the film.

The first part of “Hocus Pocus” featured the story of Max Denison, a teenager who had recently moved to Salem, Massachusetts, with his family. During Halloween night, while exploring an old abandoned house with his sister and a friend from school, he unleashes three powerful witches who once lived there. With the help of a magical cat, he has to steal the witch’s grimoire before she reaches immortality.

Among the proven talents in this new part is the presence of actor Doug Jones, who in the 1993 film played the role of the zombie Billy Bucherson, who was enslaved by the Sanderson sisters. To date, he is the only additional member to have returned from the original cast.

“Hocus Pocus 2” starring Anne Fletcher as director, was confirmed earlier this year after Adam Shankman left the project. The film is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2022, being an exclusive production from the Disney+ catalog.
