Shrimp
- 500 grams (1/2 kg) shrimp (90-130), peeled and cleaned
- 1 cup (250 ml) red hot sauce
- 2 cups (750 ml) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (250 ml) cornstarch
- frying oil
coleslaw
- 1 (400g) Taiwanese cabbage or Napa cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 grated carrots
- ½ red onion
- 1 cup (250 ml) chopped coriander
Wafu sauce
- 1 cup (250 ml) mayonnaise
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons. 1 tablespoon (30 ml) minced ginger
- Lemon juice
- 1 c. 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
- 1 c. 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
to prepare
level 1 : Heat the pan to 350°F (180°C) and cover a baking sheet with paper towels.
The second step : To prepare wafu sauce, grind all ingredients using a blender. Taste and season to taste. Reserve in a cool place.
Step 3: In a large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, cilantro, and wafu vinaigrette. Mix well and season to taste.
Step 4: For shrimp, marinate in Original Red Hot Sauce for 2 to 3 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix the flour and starch, then coat the shrimp. Sprinkle with excess flour and fry for 60 to 90 seconds. Drain and season with salt.
Step 5: Serve the coleslaw in a bowl, adding the spicy fried shrimp. Serve immediately and accompanied by a lemon wedge.
