It was the first time Connor Bedard faced Connor McDavid on Tuesday night, in a duel between the Chicago Blackhawks and Oilers in Edmonton, shown on TVA Sports.
Bedard wasted no time in challenging McDavid, scoring with a stunning volley just over three minutes into the first half. Watch in the video above.

McDavid was also involved in his team’s fourth unanswered goal, a work by Zach Hyman on the power play in the third period.
Leon Draisaitl and Sam Gagner scored the other Oilers goals. Yvan Bouchard collected two assists.
Bedard’s 12th goal of the season was the only goal for the visitors.
The win went to Stuart Skinner, author of 21 saves.
At the other end of the ice, Petr Mrazek blocked 25 shots.
Thanks to this victory, the Oilers extended their winning streak to eight.
For its part, the Falcons suffered their second defeat in a row.
