This summer, every Saturday, “Le Temps” brings you a photo date inspired by Michelangelo Antonioni’s “Blow up,” which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 1967. Through this fascinating and mysterious story where photographer Thomas ( David Hemmings) with his Nikon F — without realizing it — a picture of what would be a crime, and the Italian director offers, among other things, a reflection on the perception of visual reality and its limits.
As a nod to this seventh art masterpiece, you’ll discover a photographic composition in which the author incorporates a surprising element of guesswork. Knowing that “detonation” means both explosion and expansion. This week, view photographer Valentine Floro’s new installation below.
