Shepherd’s Pie prepared and sold by Premiere Moison Bakery in Plateau Mont-Royal has been recalled because it may contain the salmonella bacteria responsible for salmonellosis.

The bakery in question is located at 860 avenue du Mont-Royal Est, in Montreal. The product in question is a 300g shepherd’s pie, sold from 11 to 16 January 2023, notifying the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), by means of a press release.
The product was packaged in a black plastic box, covered with a transparent plastic wrap and sold in the refrigerator.
“[L’exploitant qui procède volontairement au rappel du produit] MAPAQ and the City of Montreal Department of Food Inspection have agreed to issue this warning as a precaution. Additionally, persons who have this product in their possession are advised not to consume it. They must return it to the organization they purchased it from or dispose of it.
Symptoms usually appear 6 to 72 hours after eating contaminated food and usually last from three to seven days.
However, no disease cases have been reported so far.
