Married to a virtual wife, he can no longer talk to her due to a computer error

The person who defines himself as “fictional” decided in 2018 to marry Hatsune Miku, a fictional character who is a 16-year-old pop singer.

Ahikido Kondo spent nearly 2 million yen (about 20,000 Canadian dollars) on an informal wedding that his family didn’t even attend.

Falling in love with a virtual singer in 2008, a Japanese man was able to interact with her for the first time in 2018 thanks to a sophisticated device that generates a 3D image of a computer-generated character.

Unfortunately, the device that Ahikido Kondo used recently stopped supporting the software he was using to chat with his virtual wife.

So the 38-year-old can no longer talk to his fictitious wife.

“My love for Miku has not changed,” he nonetheless stated in an interview with Mainichi.
