Only, with Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Game Freak brings us a drastic change of direction. This new version is exclusive to Nintendo Switch Introducing a new way to play Pokémon, it offers us a semi-open world and a third-person adventure, combining real-time combat and turn-based combat. Your character will participate in creating the first Pokédex by surveying the wild landscapes of Sinnoh inhabited by many wild Pokémon. The player will need a camp from which to plan his expeditions by purchasing or crafting items. During your excursions, you will be able to discover many different biomes, inhabited by Pokemon with certain characteristics, with which it will be possible to interact. We’ve also been able to see some Pokémon that will act as a means of locomotion, on land, in the air, and on the waves, and aggressive Pokémon that must be avoided or battled during fights that go from direct to turn-based when firing a pokeball. A great novelty, the ability to modify your Pokemon’s attack modes during combat, by switching from strength mode to agility mode, and affecting in real time its stats and skills.

In addition, the game, which at first was a bit disappointing with the graphic quality of its first trailer, also benefited from improved textures, at least that’s what this new trailer suggests, which offers us a rich and colorful world. No need to be ashamed of a possible comparison to Breath of the Wild. Mountains, deserts, plains, monuments…everything is there to create a special atmosphere and enhance the rich stages of exploration. What convinces the latter reluctant to embark on the adventure.
