Windows 11 and Widgets, Microsoft promises performance, third-party content and full-screen mode

One of the new features of Windows 11 is widgets. Windows 10’s approach has evolved, it offers interactive content from different apps such as calendar, weather, news, and many more. They all have one thing in common. They are signed to Microsoft.

During the build 2022 event, Microsoft announced that the offering of widgets for Windows 11 will be enriched by the end of the year. It is clear that a huge library was planned. This is possible because the method used is JSON which allows applications or services to exchange data easily.

With Adaptive Cards, Microsoft turns Microsoft JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) into an interface that can automatically adapt to a specific application’s container/window. As a result, the giant claims that tools based on these “adaptive cards” can “cCreate a great companion experience for Win32 apps and PWAs on Windows 11 Note that adaptive cards are not a new technology.
