The Liège Science Museum has taken a step back in time. He immersed himself in the world of Marie Curie through a rather special escape game. Puzzles and scientific experiments, everything is planned to immerse participants in the world of science.

In the room of Montefiore, the engineer who founded the Montefiore Institute in Liège, the escape game presented by the Maison de la Science de Liège begins. The theme of this year's activity revolves around the character of Marie Curie. This game refers to a historical fundraising campaign, organized in the United States in 1921 for this great scientific figure. He needed to raise $100,000 to be able to purchase one gram of radium, which was needed to continue his research into radiotherapy.

An escape game is an activity in which participants must solve a series of puzzles in order to escape from a room. The game here is a mix between an escape game and a treasure hunt. Players will find all the escape game codes while moving from room to room in the Maison de la Science museum. In each room of the museum, you have to solve a puzzle relating to certain key stages in Marie Curie's life. Each puzzle solved allows you to unlock a sum of money, then move on to the next room. The goal is to raise $100,000 and thus be able to purchase the famous gram of radium.

The activity is intended for an audience at least 14 years old, due to the difficulty of the topic. This escape game, in honor of the woman who won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1911, is available until Friday, May 10. For those who did not have the opportunity to experience it during spring break, it will be on display again at the Maison de la Science de Liège during the upcoming summer break.
