A musician was attacked in the New York subway on Tuesday by a woman who hit him in the head with a metal water bottle while performing.
The shocking scene, which happened around 5:50pm at 34th Street – Herald Square station, was filmed from several angles.
The bystander can be seen grabbing a mineral water bottle from the ground before hitting the musician behind the head.
Written by Ian S. Forrest: “I was attacked yesterday in the New York subway,” with a red scarf and gloves attacking me and violently hitting me in the back of the head with a mineral water bottle.
The 29-year-old continues: “I escaped from the police station.” The police couldn't find her.”
The motives behind the attack are still unknown, according to a police analysis of the video published by the New York Post.

However, Mr. Forrest notes that this is the second time in less than a year he has been attacked while performing at a Big Apple metro station.
“I don’t think I can go on,” the musician lamented in his post. “I will suspend my performances in the metro indefinitely.”
The viral video had more than 12 million views as of Friday.
Several comments from two thousand comments directed messages of support to the young man.
“Total coffee aficionado. Travel buff. Music ninja. Bacon nerd. Beeraholic.”
