The Common Digital Space (EPN) presents its annual photo exhibition, until Saturday, September 23, at the Jurançon Media Library. This year, the amateur photographers in the club headed by Yves Touron chose a dream-like theme to express their talents. A bold choice because the dream-like image does not represent reality, but rather the author’s story or one of his dreams.

Projected on a central island, somewhat imaginary, these images provoke the visitor’s questions about the world by reminding him, perhaps, of a childhood memory or an unattainable dream. Thus, Pierre Jacquinot took a picture of the water flowing under the Ollie Bridge, under the eyes of a mermaid sitting on a rock in the middle of the waves.

“Magic moment”

For Serge Baumes, his dream came true with the flight of the long-necked egret. The photo, taken early in the morning, in the fog of the Ebro Delta, in Spain, corresponds to its owner’s ideal view of the bird in its environment. “For me, it’s a magical moment,” he recalls. I only had to do a few touch-ups with specialized software and a little work on blurring, and the moment was truly timeless. I took this shot about 25-30 meters from the bird, with a 500 f/5.6 lens and a Fresnel lens.

This animal photography enthusiast, retired from national education, does not hesitate to wake up early in the morning to sit for four to five hours in the same area in order to immortalize extremely beautiful scenes, such as the bear that was photographed in the heart of Asturias.

For his part, club friend Andre Salvan chose another record. Take a photo titled “Awesomeness” while hiking near Ansabères in the Pyrenees. Hikers on the trail discover, from behind, the Eiffel Tower in the V section consisting of two slopes. The tower was cut out and placed in the landscape as if it had always been there. “This shot took only three hours of work,” he concludes humbly.
