During this generally disappointing 2022 for Xbox, Obsidian Entertainment was one of the only Xbox studios to deliver quality new projects this year with the release of Grounded version 1.0, but also the nice surprise at the end of the year: penance. The Josh Sawyer nugget has surprised many gamers in more than one area, and the game’s soundtrack has something to do with it.
Luxurious treatment of the quintet soundtrack
Pentiment was released on Tuesday, November 15th on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC live on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The title, produced by Obsidian and directed by Josh Sawyer, was surprised by the quality of its story, as well as the beauty and distinction of its art direction.
Equally impressive is the work that the Alkemie group has done on the soundtrack. This recognized group in the composition of medieval music has achieved a powerful tour on the soundtrack of a quintet by making us travel in the game world.
As for the artwork for the soundtrack, it was painter Benjamin Ferling who composed this work for nearly two years, inspired by the techniques and works of the Renaissance.
