NHL: One of Michigan's Bedard… Zegras responds himself 2 hours later!

Connor Bedard pulled off an incredible feat on Saturday night, scoring a stunning Michigan goal against Jordan Binnington of the St. Louis Blues.

But in the NHL, Michigan's goal king is Trevor Zegras. Upon his return to the game after a six-week absence, Zegras responded to Bedard the same night by scoring Michigan's goal against Joey Daccord of the Seattle Kraken.

This is already Zegras' fourth Michigan-style goal in the NHL, and he's just 22 years old. For his part, Bedard achieved this feat for the first time in his 33rd match at Pitman Arena.

The two goals were scored just two hours apart.

Bedard leads the NHL's junior team with 13 goals and 30 points this season.

Despite Bedard's prowess, the Blackhawks were defeated 7-5 by the Blues. Nick Foligno scored two goals for the Blackhawks, and Anthony Beauvillier and Jason Dickinson also scored two goals. Jared Tinordi had three assists.

For the Blues, Jordan Kyrou hit the target twice. Robert Thomas, Brandon Saad, Jake Neighbor, Colton Parayko and Justin Faulk also scored in the Blues' win.

St. Louis improved to 4-1 under interim coach Drew Bannister. Jordan Binnington stopped 16 shots.

Faulk scored his second goal of the season with 2:07 left in the game to give the Blues a 6-5 lead, then Kyrou added his second goal of the game and ninth this season with a shot into an empty net with 61 seconds left in the game.

The Neighbors tied the game with a powerful goal midway through the third period.
