On Friday, 294 (+21) new cases of COVID-19 were added in the Capitale-Nationale region and 204 (+13) in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.

A peak of 449 new infections was reached seven days ago in Quebec, before it dropped below the 300 threshold on Wednesday.

We apologize for one additional death since yesterday, for a total of 1,045 deaths so far.

There are now more than 100 people in the hospital, with 105 patients specifically in this condition (+15) of whom 21 are in intensive care (+1).

On the Chaudière-Appalaches side, after exceeding 200 new daily infections last week, the area remained below that number between Monday and Thursday, before climbing again on Friday.

There are two new deaths, totaling 298 so far.

There are 26 people in hospital (-2), half of them are in intensive care (+2).
