Minnesota Wild State prospect Marco Rossi is anticipating himself for next season.
Concretely, the first round pick (ninth overall) in the 2020 draft wants to permanently establish himself in the National League.
“I want to be there full time and have a big impact on the team,” Rossi said in an interview with the daily. Star Tribune.
Last year, the 21-year-old Austrian played 19 games for the Wild. Crowd help one. However, he was very good in the American League, scoring 16 goals and 35 assists for 51 points in 53 games.
“There’s always ups and downs. Sometimes you learn more at rock bottom,” said Rossi. “The last season I had last year was very important, because I learned a lot. […] I think when things aren’t really going well you can learn a lot.”
In order to achieve his goal, Rossi has opted to continue training in Minnesota this summer, rather than return to Europe.
“I want to be here and work!”
“I want to be part of the team and be here,” he added. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be here. For me, it’s just important that you have confidence. I’m just thinking about this.”
