The Science Festival, launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is a national event that takes place every year in the month of October. It aims to bring the population closer to science and technology and those who make them. This event is organized in the region by the local Centers for Scientific, Technical and Industrial Culture (CCSTI).
In Isère, it is coordinated by the Territoire de Sciences in partnership with the Region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the City of Grenoble-Alpes, the Prefectural Council of Isère, the City of Grenoble, the University of Grenoble-Alpes, the Academy of Grenoble and several local actors. and structures of scientific culture.
Editorial by Corinne Lemarie, Chair of the Science Region
For its 32nd edition, the Science Festival is set to break records in Isère! More than 220 events, including 85 for schools, 5 science villages, 6 festivals in more than 40 cities… Media laboratories and libraries, associations and local authorities offer entertainment, exhibitions, games and stories on topics as diverse as astronomy, critical thinking, climate, risk or archeology or digital. The opening of Cosmocité, a new urban science center in Pont-de-Claix, is the climax of the event for everyone.
This year, there is no better theme than Sport for our Region focusing on physical activity, mountain recreation, performance and research in these areas. An opportunity to talk about biomechanics and techniques as well as gender stereotypes!
I am excited to blow the whistle for this exciting and fun event!
