Job 19.25
There is nothing sadder for me than meeting people who have left the hand of God. It often seems that the ordeal succeeded in shattering their relationship with him. It is true that certain circumstances can generate multiple questions in us: “Why is this happening to me?” (Jeremiah 13.22), But we must understand that God is not obligated to explain everything to us.
“O man, who are you to argue with God? Does the earthen vessel say to the one who made it, “Why have you made me like this?”“(Romans 9.20). What he wants most is our complete trust.
Despite everything he suffered, Job refused to utter a casual or hostile word against God. He refused to believe that everything was over for him, and he refused to let go of his hand!
Do you feel crushed by a plight you don't understand? It is necessary not to leave God's hand, to put your trust in Him despite all the difficulties, and for Him to remain your firm support day after day.
HListen to God's voice
Do the trials you go through sometimes make you want to turn away from God? Take time to listen to God speaking to your heart.
Prayer is simple. Talk to God by opening your heart to Him. He loves you and can hear everything. Here is an example of prayer: “Lord, sometimes I want to leave your hand because of things I don't understand. But today I decided to stop and realize that you are God, that you love me, and that you are always in control. Amen.“
toOh, my God
Praise God means recognizing His goodness and sovereignty in all our circumstances. Today, lift up His name despite the challenges you face, and take this time to thank Him for who He is. God will always be with you and not against you, so sing to Him with all your heart!
toAct today
Now, what can you do when you feel tempted to leave God's hand? Why don't we go back to the story of Job and proclaim the same: “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that he will rise again on earth.” ? You can also read the Psalms, the Psalms of David, for example.
HHonor the Lord
Our trip ends for today. Let us pray together to honor our God.
“Father, your actions will always be motivated by your compassion for us ! Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, Amen !“
