A video has gone viral on TikTok in which user “jencomtois” explains that he won the 2023 Monopoly prize and quickly goes from euphoria to the most bitter disappointment.
The video, titled “Maybe I Should Play the Lottery Now,” was viewed more than 500,000 times in two days.
In the video, Jane shares her experience with the McDonald’s Monopoly game.

“I won the 2023 McDonald’s Monopoly this year. You’re probably wondering how much I won. Hmm… that’s a lot! Let me show you the check. How many zeros are there,” she joked.
Jane then reveals a check for US$20 ($27 CAD), adding: “You guys have changed my life. In this economy, $20… maybe I can buy myself an apple.”
