Two 16-year-old thieves may be thinking twice before resuming crime, after encountering the wrong victim, who managed to lock them in the back of a lorry while waiting for police.
On Sunday, police officers in Tourcy, west of Paris in France, presented two young would-be thieves on a silver platter, after the owner of the house where the teens had just entered was called to the scene, Acto reported. Father on Monday.
At around 12:30pm, the two 16-year-olds burst through the door of the house, before taking a mobile phone found in the building. Then they came face to face with the apartment owner, who intercepted them before they could escape.
The man alone managed to lock the teenagers in the trunk of his truck while waiting for the authorities to arrive, according to French media.
The two boys from Paris, who were not identified by police, carried screwdrivers and adjustable keys with them, which they could have used to force open the door of the house.
It is not clear whether charges have been brought against the two boys, but they have been taken into police custody, according to Actu.fr.
