The wrong legal description could have been copied and pasted into the bond, indicating that the buyer became the owner of lots 1 through 85, as well as common areas A and B. Many homes have already been built — and sold — on these lots. .
As of Saturday, at least 64 items had been transferred in the buyer’s name, according to the newspaper Renault Gazette Journal.
The error will be corrected – and the property returned to its true owners – by the company responsible for issuing the title deeds. However, delays can occur, depending on the degree of cooperation of the buyer.
